1. For full details of eligibility and to apply for a funding code please see www.beststartinlife.gov.uk Once you have a funding code, please keep
this safe until we request further information from you. To make a claim for your child we will require your date of birth, your national insurance
number, and the funding code. Please do not send us this information until we request it.
2. Early years funding is a termly commitment. No funding will be reallocated to the next provider for any place that has been terminated part way
through the term.
3. A minimum of ten hours and a maximum of twenty hours per week can be claimed for all children attending the nursery.
4. No funding will be claimed without the return of the requested documentation by the date required.
5. Children are eligible from the term after they turn 9 months, 2 years, and 3 years of age. The termly cut off dates are as follows,
31st March – 31st August – 31st December
6. A 10% sibling discount will apply to the oldest child’s fees until they are receiving 3 and 4 year old funding.
7. As we operate all year-round funding is spread over 51 weeks. Due to our session times, funding is offered as 1 or 2 full days per week.
8. The funding discount applied has been calculated based on our standard fees for a full day over 51 weeks of the year. Please be advised that the
hourly funding rate varies based on a child’s age. Funding is higher for children aged 9 months to 2 years of age and reduces when a child is in
receipt of 2 year old funding, reducing again when a child is in receipt of 3 year old funding, this is reflected in the additional charges for the
different age groups.
9. Daily meals are charged at £12.00, daily enhanced provision £3.00 and daily consumables £2.00. These charges are calculated over 51 weeks of
the year and divided by 12 months. Please be advised that these charges are optional, if you would like to bring your own meals and
consumables please contact us for a list of items required. The consumable charge covers the cost of nappies, wipes and creams. Once your
child is fully toilet trained and no longer requires nappies/pullups, please inform the office and this charge will be removed from your account.
10. Codes need renewing with HMRC every 3 months so please make sure that you renew your code in plenty of time. Failure to renew your code on
time will result in your funding being withdrawn and full fees being applied to your account. Your code remains the same, therefore we do not
require notification when a code has been renewed.
